Yesterday, Immanuel Baptist Church concluded the last of several special Sundays with Others Sunday. This Sunday, with the focus being on ministering to others, was part of updating the people on the six Others Ministries of our church. These ministries are additional to the usual outreach and Sunday school ministries of the church. God has established and blessed these under the ministry of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Here are the Others Ministries:
- The Amanda Ranch
- The Great Commission Mission
- Galatians 6:1 Ministries
- Camp New Beginnings
- The Christian Education Revolution
- Binding the Brokenhearted Ministries
To a full crowd, I had the privilege of giving an update regarding each ministry, highlighting the work that has been done and the needs each ministry still has. On Sunday morning, I preached “The Key to the Harvest,” a reminder of an important fact concerning our faithfulness as Christians. We also launched the Good Neighbor Initiative, through which church members can nominate people in the community for being a good neighbor. We introduced the new role of community chaplain to be filled by one of our men who will serve by reaching into the community to offer spiritual care to any who need it. These avenues of outreach will enable more opportunities to share the Gospel and start new Bible studies, extending our ministry further into the local community. How exciting!
It is a joy to see the Immanuel Baptist Church continue to press forward with a heart of charity for others. Many financial commitments, as well volunteer commitments, were made to keep these ministries moving forward. Make sure to check in each day as I highlight many of these ministries for others in the Daily Report throughout this week.
